Sunset District

The Sunset is deck country with a catch: the fog. Marine air finds every unsealed cut and cheap fastener, which is why so many Sunset decks fail early. We build here with coastal-rated hardware, protective joist tape, and materials chosen for damp climates — so the deck you get is the one that's still solid in fifteen years.

Most lots in the Sunset are compact, and most yards slope. We design decks that make the most of tight footprints: built-in benches, planters, and storage under the deck instead of wasted space underneath.
